Bourget Law Reinvents Itself
Bourget Law has emerged as the new brand of the previously known bourgetlaw.com. While we still maintain the bourgetlaw.com roots, the expanded image of Bourget Law better captures the fullness, power and innovation of our practice.
Together with the Bourget Law brand, our new logo, slogans and website embody more than our traditional offering of fast, fair and friendly service to our clients, and reflect the richness of our experience. Our growth, like the growth of so many of our clients, stems from more than working hard and paying close attention to the details. It involves adherence to business strategies and planning, allowing us the flexibility to respond quickly and to satisfy our clients and future clients. This includes more than simply preparing and filing patent or trademark applications or other mechanics of the practice of intellectual property law, but involves the analysis and strategic business consultation so many of our clients depend upon and enjoy.
So while our clients have been inventing and innovating, we too have been busy creating our own brand and innovations to better reflect our business and to propel our own growth. What better way to demonstrate our abilities than to reinvent ourselves.

Our New Logo
The logo can best be described with reference to the Color, Cut, and Clarity themes of the world of diamonds or other gems. Think of the logo as a combination, where together all of the elements comprise an IntellectualGem.
COLOR
Color: The center "gold" gem represents your intellectual property. Until now there has never been such a thing as a gold gem. It is a unique creation or innovation - just like your ideas and inventions. The shading of color within the center signals the flavor and variety of the ideas within. The internal flair of innovation moves in a streak of confidence and success. A twinkle of white light emerging from the upper left corner demonstrates the ability to shine, sufficient to attract the attention of those not readily appreciating the value. The color of the perimeter tiles is secondary to the center gold. Cool and calm as the white of protectors. The overall colors of the logo are an expression of your ideas, and are a reflection of ours.
CUT
Cut: The "Cut" (or positioning and spacing) of the flanking tiles signifies the protectors of your intellectual property. These "protector tiles" have sharp, clean beveled edges, cut with discipline. Surrounding the valuable center tile which represents your innovations, the tiles work together as a unit. Each individual protector has a role to play. One tile represents a patent or family of patents to protect the innovations of the center gem. Perhaps your needs are for trademark protection, where the tile of registration is key. Other tiles have names such as trade secret policy, trade dress development, or copyright registration. Some flanking tiles are contracts, license agreements, or structured royalties. Others are non-disclosure agreements, independent contractor agreements, or employment provisions. A flanking tile may also be an engineer called upon for technical support. Another tile represents an opinion and analysis needed for undertaking action or charting a new opportunity. Others represent a search of patents or trademarks or a monitor of the competition. Together, the individually cut protectors secure your intellectual property.
CLARITY
Clarity: The protecting tiles direct attention to the center, clarifying that the focus is on protecting YOUR intellectual properties. The uniform separation between tiles, with their clipped corners, allows for the center to move, - to breathe and expand - a clear signal that our protecting tiles do not inhibit growth of your innovations and valuable assets. The protectors are able to adjust and accommodate change. Overall, the logo conveys a clear message to our friends and clients of what we do - provide business strategies for patent, trademark & copyright. The logo also manifests our appreciation of the importance and power of a distinctive mark and valuable intellectual property.
